Guideline & Policy for Programming Assignments
Students must work on programming assignments individually.
- All programming assignments will be released on the course website on the listed dates.
- We provide the starter code in a Colab notebook for each programming assignment.
- Points of individual questions and subquestions are displayed in the Colab notebook. Each assignment will specify its submission requirements and grading criteria when released.
- All assignments must be submitted as a zip file which contains the Colab notebook.
- You may consult relevant books and online resources; acknowledge any sources and permitted assistance. Develop your own solutions within the assistance permitted by the assessment instructions, and do not share or copy other students’ assessed code.
- Passing the provided unit tests is necessary for full marks on the corresponding implementation tasks. Partial credit and any additional evaluation criteria will be explained in the assignment.
- Follow the GenAI rules and declaration requirement. Syntax explanations, error explanations, and debugging hints are allowed; generated solutions or replacement implementations require explicit permission in the assignment.
The course policies cover deadlines, late work, academic concessions, and academic integrity.
